Reference is made to China Power International Development Limited (“China Power”)’s announcement dated 8 November 2017. Merrill Lynch Far East Limited entered into an underwriting agreement dated 8 November 2017 to underwrite the shares under the rights issue of China Power. The rights issue has been fully subscribed as of acceptance date. Merrill Lynch Far East Limited is not required to take up any rights shares and the obligations under the underwriting agreement has ceased.
